🎨 My 3rd Revelation from my Eclipse Adventure

Hi friends, As I promised, I am finally sharing the third revelation from my Eclipse adventure. A few weeks ago in my Moon Letters, I wrote about my first two learnings from my journey and last week, I felt an inner pull to explore what MAGIC means to me. ​ To set the stage, when I was visiting Austin, I had the marvelous opportunity to stay at a boutique hotel with a magical gothic library vibe. From the ruby red velvet throne chairs in the lobby to the hand-selected vintage glass bottle pendant lights to the cozy yoga room with oracle decks and a view of the oak trees, I knew I had stepped inside someone's artistic vision and was fully immersed in their world. I could feel the love and passion in every detail. The space seemed to care about me and want to inspire, delight, and comfort me. This place was gently guiding my experience, helping me to slow down and savor the sumptuous color palettes and lush textures. Dotting the lustrous dark green halls sitting areas corralled me and my friend into cozy moments of conversation and marveling. Each one featured a jewel toned french provincial love seat designed to complement the patterns in the carpet. A gallery of unique vintage gold mirrors and a chandelier hung above each sofa. We wandered the halls over and over to experience each nook and cranny and be washed over with its artistry. Motifs repeated but were never exactly the same. Each little spot had it own distinct mood and voice and yet, stayed in intimate conversation with the whole. So yes, of course, this place inspired me visually and will definitely find its way into my art and creations. However, the biggest revelation for me was that the experience of being completely immersed in an artist's vision is pure magic. You enter their inner world and everything is infused with their love and passions. The artist is your invisible guide through their imagination. It is absolutely wondrous to be ushered through this portal into someone's creative heart. The other day while my dear friend, Katya Rudneva, and I were doing multi-deck tarot and oracle intuitive card readings, I lamented that I wished there were more artist-created oracle decks. I have a lot of indie artist-made tarot decks that I adore but artist-made oracle decks are much far and fewer between. She noted that there are more tarot decks because tarot is pre-existing system of symbols and meanings that lends itself to artistic interpretation. Since an oracle deck doesn't have a set system of meaning or organization, it requires a personal mythology to bring it to life. Katya's observation blew me away. This is exactly why I love creating oracle decks. My Spirit Cats and Witch Cats are indeed, inhabitants of my inner world, my imagination and visions. You will see certain motifs that hold a special meaning for me spotted throughout the decks: forests, lucid dreams, nature spirits, dancing, starry skies, moons, mists and clouds. The landscape of my decks has distinct moods as well: sensual, wild, alive, soft, cozy, loving, expansive, free, infinite, magical, ecstatic. There are also hidden details like cards that are the kitty embodiments of my loved ones and my favorite artists and even a few that are avatars of myself. As you use my oracle decks, I hope you feel like you have stepped inside the world of my imagination and are free to explore and encounter the magical creatures that live there. You are invited to visit my realm. I hope you feel loved and embraced by the space that I create just like I felt when I visited that hotel in Austin. Interestingly, my oracle decks are simultaneously created to invite you into your own inner world, to explore your own vision, to get to know yourself, your desires, your imagination and your dreams more fully. They contain an encouragement to lovingly embrace your truest self and find the courage and willingness to share that unique self with us. Each of us is a magical world unto ourselves. Whether you build an entire hotel to express that or create an oracle deck like me or even just allow your energy to shine through when someone is in your presence, know that this is valuable beyond words. It is not frivolous in any way. It is an invitation into your magic, your world, a portal to deep connection, an essential part of the beauty of being alive.
