✨🔥✨My Little Whirlwind of Creativity and Chaos ✨🔥✨

Hi friends, ​ I am have been building my booth display and doing all the behind the scenes prep for CatCon this coming weekend. ​ So my garage looks like this: I promise it will be very cute in person and I will have new art prints, special deals, and my new Dream Cat Enamel Pin at CatCon! I also have two paintings going that are so close being finished. I am dreaming of a whole day to just dive into that magic. I miss them! I have been working on my Spirit Cats 2025 Calendar as well to get ready for the presale launching on August 27th along with my new Dream Cat enamel pin. I am so excited about the gold foil backing board I made for my pin as well. It is so magical! At the same time, I knew that this was the week to really make my Kickstarter video happen for my upcoming Wander Kittens Mini Decks as my partner has time off work and he can help with filming and editing. I could have simply filmed the cards with my phone. However, I felt called to turn this into a veritable artwork that explores the ritual, cosmic space within which I paint, write, and channel my oracle decks, the strange wild lands where the Wander Kittens emerged. Enter costume design, set design, prop acquisition, 2 locations, lighting, shot lists, music editing, animated movie title design, me performing on screen and lots of vulnerability and self-doubt because I am playing outside of of my zone of familiarity. Weirdly, I got the most stressed by an extremely amateur glue-is-everywhere attempt to apply fake lavender sparkle nails. Let's just say I don't live a fake nails lifestyle, Some of them fell off, others got bent, and one melted all within 24 hours, Granted I was trying to create my set and put together props at the same time. Right now, I am in the midst of this project and will be doing another shoot tonight after dark. I alternate between being in the flow, feeling playful and having fun with these new arenas of creativity to getting overwhelmed by the chaos and intensity of so many moving pieces. I got so excited when I created this ritual painting set straight out of my dreams yesterday. I wish I could live in this world I created. Then, I had a miniature meltdown when I realized I had dismantled my entire studio to bring this vision to life. Behind the scenes real sneak peek: this is what the other side of my studio looks like right now. In all honesty, I have no idea how this Wander Kittens video will turn out. I don't know if it will be anything like what I envisioned or if it will be a sweet surprise or simply a learning experience. All in all, I do appreciate the creative inspiration, expansion, collaboration and exploration even when it unsettles me and brings up resistance and fear. That is part of this wild ride. This is the wild creature I become while painting in the video. The mask is the splendid creation of Katya Rudneva who also makes the ritual bells, pendulums and wall hangings in my shop.
